LARP Portal Feature Highlight

Our feature highlight this quarter is the American LARP Awards. You can also access these pages in “LARP Resources” at the top of the public pages.

Our public pages do not require a user to have an account or to participate with LARP Portal. The series of pages were created to share each stage of the awards with the LARP community... Each component communicates information and invites participation:

The American LARP Awards HOME PAGE provides:

  • An Overview of the AWARDS.
  • Important Dates to remember.
  • Description of the Award Categories.
  • Explanation of the Award Rules that apply for nominations, top nomination and judging.

The NOMINATION FORM collects the following key information for each category in order to identify the top nominee submissions in advance of voting.

  • The Contact Info; name, email and phone # of the Nominee.
  • The Campaign Name of the game or event be nominated.
  • Photo Details including Photo Name, Location, date taken, and Photographer.
  • And the Reason for the Nomination.

The TOP NOMINATIONS PAGE displays the nominations that received the highest number of nominations. For photo categories, we count the number of “likes”, as it is not expected that we would receive multiple nominations for the same photo.

And finally, the WINNERS’ PAGE.

  • This page communicates the judges' choice for the winner in each category.
  • And it shares the fantastic artwork from our wonderful artists.
