As LARP Portal enters our 10th year, we wanted to celebrate all that is great about LARPing and LARPers and invite the LARP community to recognize and reward the efforts and contributions of their fellow LARPers who make this such a great hobby.
We have created 10 award categories in honor of LARP Portal’s 10th Anniversary, but in future years we will look to the community to make recommendations for alternative or additional award categories.
The awards are open to all LARPs and LARPers in the US and Canada. A LARP Portal account is not required to participate.
We are very excited to recognize the great talent of our LARP community. One way we are doing that is by commissioning LARPers who are also great artists to design the awards.
Our 2024 judge panel will be selected from active players with a LARP Portal account. In future years, the panel will be selected from winners from the previous year.

There are; 7 non-photo and 3 photo categories. For photo categories, nominators will also provide a photo title, photo location, date taken, and the name of the photographer. For our first year we will accept nominations for all categories for the past 2 years (2022 and 2023). In 2025, the awards will be based on 2024 - so keep those cameras ready.

Other Rules
Top 5 Finalists:
The top nominees in each category (up to 5) will be announced in LARP Portal and on social media.- In the case of a tie, comments in “reason for nomination” will be used by the LARP Portal team to complete the list.
Judging:
- Non-photo categories will be decided by a panel of judges.
- Photo categories will have the top 5 identified based on vote and the winner will be decided by a panel of judges.
- The judges will independently select a 1st, 2nd and 3rd place for each category and a total score will determine the winner.
Results:
- Award winners will be notified and results posted on our LARP Portal home page and on social media.
